The Black eyed peas made it official and announced the release of “The Beginning”, their newest studio effort, just in time for Christmas. “The Beginning” will be available online at all retailers on November 30, 2010. The lead single, “The time the dirty bit” falls right in step with Will’s disclosure sampling Dirty Dancing’s title single “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”.

Armand Van Helden and A-Trak aka Duck Sauce have nabbed the number three spot on the UK pop charts. Not digital or iTunes, the actual pop charts. It’s the duo’s third released pop single and this is huge, considering the landscape of the music industry in 2010. Congrats to Fool’s Gold Records and to independent dance music creators.

I had a chance to check this out the other night before its official release  and none the less, I must say that technology has impressed me again. The looping capabilities, The accuracy of the jog wheels, (which i must say are similar to pioneer cdjs) and the ability to control up to 5 channels (5 turntables) with this box is nothing short of amazing. Though I probably will never give up my technics 1200′s and rane mixer, I will probably be purchasing this when it becomes available to have in addition to my traditional dj set up. check it out for yourself.
